I'm a 56 yr old man who has had a lifelong struggle with severe social anxiety disorder. I finally started getting some help in 2010 (cbt, meditation, mindfulness, as well as other work I've done). The cbt really helped to change my thinking although I've found myself slacking off the last couple of yrs. I've found my progress reversing a bit even though I've made great strides in changing my thinking. I hope this will help me to get back on track.
