Just stated taking cymbalta (20mg) 2 days ago and have been light headed and my pupils are constantly dialated. Think it may be serotonin syndrome. Anyone with knowledge on this? Should I stop taking it?

Call your pharmacist. I don't think you can get the seratonine sydrome after just two days at 20 mg. I am on it at 60 mg and did have to get used to it. it is a wopper to the brain. It might be a few weeks before you feel better. But alway call your doctor if it is too much. The headaches from this medicine are normal at first. They might feel different than what a typical headaches feel like too. Be observant but don't jump to conclusion just yet. Get a professional opoinion.

Good luck! Rest if you can

Thank you. I did call the Dr and Pharmacist. The Dr suggested pouring out half the powder for the next couple of days and then try going back to 20mg. Did you have anxiety the first few days you took it?

What? I wouldn't try to poor it out myself. That is strange advice. Try taking one full capsule every other day. That is what my doctor did for me when I first started. I had anxiety for the first three weeks on it. It has to built up in your brain. You are actually changing some of the chemisty in you brain function with this drug and it can take time but it is worth it.

Before my meds I can't leave the house my anxiety is so bad. On it, though it is easier for me to do so. I can give you a million reasons that it makes sense for me to be on meds. But you must measure these reawon carefully as it is a commitment to your own care.

Did you take any benzo's when you started? It seems like lorazepam helped a little last night.

No I wasn't, but I am on a supplimental drug now with it called Brilltex or Busprione(generic). I am taking it twice daily and just started so don't know yet how it works.

I have been on Cymbalta 60 mg for 2 weeks & I am noticing Restless Leg Syndrome and foggy brain. Anyone else? Does this go away ever?

I couldn't handle cymbalta. I'm on paxil now. Week 3 and only side effects were headache and increased anxiety. Both are almost gone. I don't feel it's helping with my anxiety however. Going to give another couple of weeks and see if I notice a difference.
