Hi. As I remember, that medicine also gives you happiness. So it is also good for depression.

I used it for a while. But when I was under a heavy stress and could not use the medicine for 2-3 days, I have gone mad.

I think you should not rely on people like us when it comes to think of medicines.

Doctors know the best.

But the medicine's itself is nice. When you take it for the first time, people begin to realise the difference in you. You get happier

I currently take Cymbalta and I do feel better on it than the other meds that I have tried.

Yes, I'm on it for depression and it's great! I also have GAD and it's fine with the Cymbalta. But I have Klonopin/clonazepam available to me even though I don't need it for anxiety. I take 90 mg of Cymbalta/duloxetine per day and feel good. I also am on a mood stabilizer because I have atypical depression. We're each individual and need our meds to fit us a little differently. But this drug definitely works for me. I was depressed on just 60 mg, so I reported that and it got upped to 90 mg and that was the magic number!!! I felt fantastic!!! I hope you like it, too!!

My psychiatrist just recently upped my dosage to 90 mg, but I haven't been taking it as prescribed.I was scared that 90 mg was too much. Now that I know that it is safe, I should really stick to taking the 90 mg as prescribed. Especially, because my psychiatrist was concerned about me not taking my medication regularly (which is very foolish of me) and I have been having pretty bad days lately.

Omigosh, yes, it's only right to take it as prescribed and for the several weeks that it needs to be a fair trial. After about 4 weeks or so (ask your doctor how long) you've given it a fair chance and it's just not going to work and it's time to try something else. Once the 90 mg was in me for about 2-3 weeks I felt great and that hasn't changed in many months. I'm so glad I did it the way the doctor prescribed.

Each person is different but I am happy with it. I do think that medication is only one "tool" for treating anxiety/depression and we all need several tools to keep it under control. Good luck!

I agree. We're also supposed to be seeing a counselor or therapist for CBTherapy. I see mine once a month because I don't need much therapy but I keep in touch in case something should happen that my need should step up. It's highly recommended that a depressed person needs both and I agree. It's only after years of both that I don't really need much therapy; I'm all current and now we just nurture our friendship by meeting minimally. I have profitted from having a counselor tremendously through the years and would recommend one to just about everyone; unless you have had no problems, no abuse, no conflicts, no issues, no depression and no anxiety and no questions ever. Otherwise, you could benefit from a counselor greatly.

I see a new therapist next week, thankfully. She's more expensive, but she has about 20 plus years practice. Yeah... what I have been doing is not at all recommended. I have learned my lesson and starting today I am back on the 90 mg of Cymbalta and am taking it as prescribed. I really need to get better. My psychiatrist really cares about my well being and I need to stop being so stubborn.
