So I'm very new at this and not exactly sure how to go about any of this. I'm hoping this support community will be helpful with my anxiety and depression and help me to get rid of my insecurities and fears. I also hope that I can help others in the same way and make a friend who understands.

Welcome! Merry Christmas to you! I hope today is a good day for you. A lot of posts here are from needy people who are hurting. You won't get much support from them because of their neediness. But others are where I'm at...a comfortable place where I can be supportive should you want support. I've had depression and anxiety for about 28 years and most of that time I've been able to function very well. Some of the time I've suffered miserably but I've recovered beautifully each time I had a crisis. So I'm familiar with horrendous pain and wonderfully normal, happy times. Blessings to you!

Hi! I'm new too and glad to meet you. I'm starting to ramp up anxiety about a dinner my husband and I have been invited to on the evening of New Year's Day! I worry about what to wear and what to talk about and I'm hoping that just sharing that will help - to know that lots of other people feel the same thing! What is going on with you?

I'm doing ok right now I'm worried about starting my new position at work soon. I'm sure what ever you wear will be lovely and hope you have fun at the dinner party

Is it a new position at the same workplace?

Yes. I never in a million years thought I would get the job but I did. They will end up sending me out of state for some of the training. It's a huge pay raise and a skilled job I can make a career out of so I'm very excited. . . But I can't help but be super anxious and nervous about the whole thing thinking about everything that could go wrong.

That is really exciting! Congratulations!! New jobs require a learning curve - they obviously believe you can handle it.

Take good care of yourself. You'll be ready!

Hello! I've suffered from Aniexty and panic disorder for over 20 years. It sounds like you have a very good reason to be anxious. A new job. Congradualtions! I'm sure over time as you get used to it your anxiety will go away and you will do great. Change is always scary until it becomes familiar.
