PSA up again to 2.8 from 2.5 with a nadir in this 3rd course of chemos at 2.1. 31st chemo overall.
Have a phone appt with MO to see next step, looks like 9 Cabazitaxel sessions didn't do it. Taxotere failed in 2021, so did Abiraterone and then Xtandi in 2020.
May be time for a PSMA scan, since I'm on Kaiser Medicare now, then biopsy if large enough. Maybe send out for genetic testing too.
Wow over 7 years in with a starting PSA over 800. Congratulations on your birthday and your run and your response so far. Hopefully you will be able to access LU177 soon. Best wishes.Graham
I'm in a similar position. Original docetaxel 5 years ago, took my PSA down to .08. Next 4 years saw PSA bounce along the 2.00 mark. Then started a gradual rise. Another 10 sessions of docetaxel did not a lot. then went through bicalutamide, then enzalutamide, neither controlled PSA. This year it was decided I should try cabazitaxel. Got to fourth infusion with no PSA reduction, so chemo was stopped. PSA is now at 21 and i have decided to try Radium 223. This treatment is to start in a months time. Heres hoping for some success for me, you and all other sufferers.
