Beautiful park. I was there 10 years ago, while visiting my mother. She was staying at a north shore nursing home. Very nice facilities! I also climbed up Diamond Head, thru the tunnel and crawled up to the bunker. Don't think I could do that again, now at 65. Thanks for the recall.
Mahalo Kal, I'm just taking it all in before I can't 😥It's my own lil Dance Macabre 😁
As I've said before "Life's too short to stay home" cuz at some point I'll be confined to quarters and will have to scroll thru these posts and reminisce.
I hear that. I cleaned up my posts to bring your QOL post back on point. How big is the rental , do those have actual bedrooms ? Do get a rental car for the whole time you are there .
yayahahahaya yayahahahaya. OMGoosh … $25 housing and a convertible rent-a-wreck ….. WOW. This info has to be priceless for any croaker here to have a Hawaiian QOL vacation. That’s stunning how affordable it can be. How good is this ????
who knew you could do Hawaii that affordably !!! Wow …. About anyone that can travel could make your trip. No better QOL oppritunity than that. Looks like you are filling in your trip mightily brother … all that activity should burn off a truckload of “ the dance “ angst ( for sure ) , it’ll be interesting to see how fulfilling and effective the trip was in dealing with “ things “ …. Seeing family and the thrilling sights ….. you’d think it would be very satisfying … not sure tho …
heck … back to reality …dang nab it. Yayahahahaya yayahahahaya. I hope you don’t get caught up in that massive Southwest Airlines screwup or that it spills over on your flight.
STILL raining over here with a line of atmospheric rivers coming in for weeks. Yayahahahaya. Might be some snow on the Tehachapi pass off and on too. Rain is good, gonna be a pretty ( wildflowers ) and green spring this year for a change.
Yea, CA had that Superbloom of flowers and with that a humongous burst of butterfliesOn Hawaiian Air, not much chance of a blizzard. Tho I got a pic of snow topped Mauna Kea
you are doing a great job. Yayahahahaya yayahahahaya
Dramatic difference here. weather here been uncommonly rainy …. hinders my getting out but we desperately need the rain. Rain is going to continue , with small breaks, for next couple of weeks …so far. couple inches of rain in the last couple days alone. Massive new snow up in the ski resorts. Big party explosion up at China Peak. Big crowds.
it’s still raining here this Thursday morning and a week to 10 days more possible ahead. It’s a lot warmer here , of course, lows been in high 40s and highs in the high 50s … same as at the coast as the powerful storms are warm and carrying the coastal clime over to here. Just one small 1800’ mountain range in the way.
On one of my work trips to Fresno I flew into Oakland and of course went across "the range" to get to Fresno. Memorable drive as my mountain experiences were always from Seattle, Montana, etc..
The range was muted hilly looking and was straw colored.
I just looked at google and I remember the reservoir (San Luis Reservoir) and I think I took 880 south out of Oakland, then 101, then 152 east and 99 south.
Oh wonderful to help with CA drought issues! I remember watching a vid on Mulholland and bringing water to CA and I believe that the movie "Chinatown" was based on the CA water wars.kcet.org/shows/american-exp...
we have farmers here that get choked up and nearly start crying at the thought of a single drop of the mighty San Joaquin River making it past the dams to the ocean, river habitat and salmon run be damned . But that’s another story. Like you said , it’s been going on for eons.
that water issue has been going on for generations … while working at the V.A in Fresno, I became licensed as their Water Master. We had our own pumps and a small village ( 16 acre medical center ) we distributed to. I had to guarantee the water quality to 2000 or 3000 people every day. You have classes that cover the water wars … it’s very complicated and messy. No solution seems possible.
Yes, it's Awesome. Dunno if I mentioned that my daughter and I saw them at Mets Stadium for the Classics East two day concert. That was a Blastbestclassicbands.com/classi...
Hey Bruddah, no problem with your questions, I'm okay sharing warts and all." Hit me with your best shot "This trip was planned in August before PSMA scan results, and RO cons.
Cuz it was two years since I last visited and seeing esp my mom was the main thrust. LOL no more pelvic thrusts for me.
I told my Mom that I would do May and December trips, as I had done preCOVID, but esp with her in a nursing home.
This lil trip was thoroughly enjoyable and distracting.
A total Serotonin boost. Seeing and hiking new venues was invigorating, but I'm weird that way. Plus, I'm spending more time home than I used to. Before was Thur to Mon
Didn't have a thought of how radiation will go.
The wife of a PCa guy on HU msgd that she wanted me to bottle up my energy for her
For our Brothers here: do things that you really enjoy doing, that gives a sense of accomplishment (me and my Conqueror Challenges) and be a distraction.
Whatever that may be: fishing, woodworking, biking, cooking, working on a 57 Chevy 😊 et al
Boost your Serotonin with whatever floats ur boat
Or even pick up a new hobby, that'll occupy your mind.

well I definitely think you are inspirational and clearly so do a whopping lot of others … even including your pts. Thanks for sharing buddy. I agree , dunno where you get all that energy as well but we all probably wish we had some of that too yayahahahaya. I used to but had to quit that diet pill mill - weight loss clinic here in town … prolly give me a heart attack nowadays. Yayahahahaya.
Looks like depending upon when you get back, you might have a clear non raining spot to come back to . It depend on timing tho. Major rain event has been happening and “ still “ going on. Seems like we haven’t had this much rain in years….. not sure.
Supposedly, New Year’s Eve it’s supposed to be raining here …. I wanted to go out at midnight and rattle some windows / shake some ground firing off my large thunder mug - parade canon. and I wanted to fire about 5 long clips in my machine gun ( zoraki 925 machine gun pistol theatrical movie gun ) . Plus I’ve got a lot of those impressive adult “ poppers “ that are used here on Chinese new year celebrations downtown. Just in case it’s my last opportunity, I want to have some fun New Year’s Eve with my Champagne and cheese charcuterie. Gonna be iffy if it’s pouring down tho.
