Taxotere

I am looking for any information regarding men with prostate cancer, who have had chemo using Taxotere. Please tell me what we should expect with the chemo treatments such as side effect and how it might effect him, how long did it take for PSA to decrease.

Taxotere

Have read that a follow up to the radiation is now Taxotere or another chemo. Has anyone has this therapy and what were your results? Did it keep the PC from returning or spreading ? Thank you so much.

Taxotere and fingerprints.

After three rounds of taxotere to date my fingerprints aren't completely gone, but even with retraining my TouchID Mac and phone won't respond to them. To my eye they look smooth, but a close up photo reveals there's still a pattern.

Chemo may be helping

Hi Fellow Fighters, Prior to my third round of Taxotere last Friday, I had blood work done. After 2 rounds, my PSA dropped 4.7 points. TBH, I feel like crap today, but the results are promising. My blood work also showed low cortisol levels, how concerned should I be about that? Thanks.

I had three Jevtana infusions.

I feel really good, compared to the time when I finished Taxotere, Pelvic radiation and Xtandi, which was killing me and I had to stop. Is there any sign to tell that things are working?

Wife of mCRPC. You men are rockstars. Need advice

My question - If his PSA continues to decline on Taxotere, does he stop after 6? Based on my bio, do you have any suggestions about what’s next? Does anyone go into a temp remission, or shall we expect PSA to rise shortly after infusion stops?

Expectations after six cycles of Taxotere

My husband was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer nearly three years ago, receiving a regimen of ADT, which included abiraterone, Lupron and prednisone. When that no longer worked, he started first-line chemotherapy. He just completed his sixth cycle. His PSA dropped until the sixth infusion

my father is beginning taxotere today

my father is beginning taxotere today. I’m wondering if people could share their 18 week experience in depth (or as much as they’re comfortable) sharing. Anything and everything.

New To The Thread

I’m doing the triplet treatments with Lupron, Nubeqa, and taxotere (for chemo). My med oncologist has called it the STAMPEDE trial, although I’m not actually in a trial. I was diagnosed last August and recently finished chemo. I’m still on ADT.

what’s typically after taxotere?

He just did his first round of taxotere last week and we’re gonna get him through the 6 rounds, god willing. What’s typically the next step after chemo? Does he then do immunotherapy? Also, if it is immunotherapy- which should I advocate for as being his first treatment?

Jevtana prescribed until Pluvicto available to him

He already had Zytiga, Xtandi, radiation, cryotherapy, Immunotherapy and Taxotere... running out of options but fortunately, he is still feeling pretty good considering all.

Change from HER2 negative to HER2 positive?

Prior to biopsy Onc changed treatment to Xeloda 4000mg now says that due to the HER2+ I must go on Taxotere, Herceptine and Picqray IV infusion.

One last battle

I only had fatigue (and hair loss) when I did taxotere. I wish you all happy holidays. Every day is precious.

Rising PSA on taxotere

Denny's been on Taxotere since July. After an initial rise to 100, he had a 13 point drop in his PSA to 87 in September. Yesterday's lab work shows a PSA of 92 which is where he was in July before he started chemo.

Delta Gold & Docetaxel

The new paper suggests that men on Taxotere (Docetaxel) might delay resistance by using delta tocotrienol. "... Several agents, including natural compounds, have been shown to induce necroptosis in human cancer cells.

Low PSA, high metastasis, ready for chemo+

I was with another doc until last week who advised Eligard, plus Nubeqa and then Taxotere…the standard “triple therapy”but I didn’t feel he was throwing the proverbial kitchen sink at my disease which I think is warranted.

dad newly diagnosed

My dad has been recently dx with stage IV with multiple bone Mets, he had his first round (of six) of taxotere this past Monday and seems to be really struggling with side effects, just wondering if these typically subside within a certain timeframe or if it’s super individualized in terms of everyone
