Hey all, I am on dose two of taxotere and today I feel my mouth and especially tongue growing numb. Has anyone else experienced this? Any home remedies? Also feeling light headed. Just wondering how common these symptoms are and when they usually occur and how long before they hopefully leave!

I am offered simultaneous Taxotere and XMAb20717-04 due to progressive PSA doubling time in <8 weeks from 2 to 4+ This trial is sponsored by Xencor. I would appreciate any information. My recent PMSA-PET showed new tumors and progression.

Had first chemo Taxotere 3 days ago. TA suggested chemo in combination with Xtandi extends OS. Would it be a good step to add radiation as 3rd step to clean up any residual? For hopefully a very long remission. Thank you

it’s be nice if i didn’t need a walker at the end of this. even nicer if i wasn’t dead. taxotere isn’t much fun, but i seem to be handling it better than other people who are doing this path.

Taxotere worked well when I was on it a year ago. Six doses got my PSA down to .22. Is Pluvicto my last therapy option?

Initiation of Taxotere and prednisone June 2023, for metastatic disease. Zometa for bone metastases. Treatment holiday March 2024 - May 2024, without evidence of progression. Taxotere had been reduced to 60 mg/m2 dosing.

His Oncologist insisted on him taking chemo using Taxotere which he took 6 rounds of treatment. It did not work as well as expected. This was so he would qualify for Pluvicto treatment. Thank you in advance for any replies.

I will be switched to taxotere for my next treatment. Wondering if anyone else has had a reaction to taxol and then received taxotere. I am nervous about having a reaction to taxotere as well and then not being able to get the full treatment plan.

Six months of Taxotere failed miserably. After 8 rounds, I was done. After chemo, my second PSMA-PET showed additional bone mets and a spread to the lymph nodes. My MO told me I was a good candidate for Pluvicto, so, three months after finishing Taxotere, I started that therapy.

Hi warriors - my husband and 3.5 months post taxotere chemo. Now on lupron and Nubeqa. He is having pretty severe pain in his hands and feet. We have discussed this with oncologist and he wants us to work with GP until we can see other specialists (rheumatologist and Neurologist).

My husband had his first chemo treatment of 275ml Docetaxel (Taxotere) on 1/11/24 and his 6th and last treatment 4/21/24. My husband had his PSMA PET/CT last week and overall it was good.

The urologist says Nubeqa (darolutamide) is only for use with the chemo Taxotere (docetaxel), which would be in triplet therapy with an ADT. I see some people are using Nubeqa with Orgovyx, but cannot find anything official on it. Nubeqa is always mentioned with Taxotere.

It's been over a year since my last scan which showed improvement from Taxotere and Orgovyx. I was doing well low T <10 and PSA .02. I had a lady friend come visit and took a 40 day break from the Orgovyx. I retested the day she left and my T jumped up to 502 and my PSA jumped up to .312.

The NPs exhibited improved pharmacokinetic properties (9.5-fold longer terminal half-life, vs. free docetaxel) and anti-tumor efficacy comparable to Taxotere with negligible systemic toxicity, suggesting zein/CS NPs could be a promising nanoplatform for targeted cancer therapy.

I have read that the addition of chemo Taxotere for Triplet therapy would be beneficial, but can have severe side effects in the elderly, and also must be started with or soon after ADT. Am I likely too old to tolerate the chemo Taxotere, and have I missed the window for starting it?

My husband is going to have his first chemo treatment of Taxotere in about a week. He has ben fighting metastatic stage 4 prostate cancer for five years. Thankfully it has stayed in the bones and not spread to any organs.

Hi everyone- my husband had is first infusion of Taxotere last Thursday and it’s been really rough on him. He had steroids and as soon as those wore off the pain started. He’s on triplet therapy. Stage 4 with Mets. First he had hiccups for 36-48 straight and now getting on and off.

The first round of Chemo was with Taxotere and now My Cancer has become castrate resistant. PSA is now no longer a good indicator for disease progression. I'm not looking forward to doing this but it's what has to be done.

Kwon recommended starting chemo with taxotere plus carboplatin and this is scheduled to start in Cyprus on 17 June (the earliest appointment I could get).
