Zytiga

I read that when zytiga and deltacortene fail, replacing deltacortene with dexamethasone allows zytiga to continue to be effective. I have been interested in prostate cancer for many years but I had never heard of this and I must admit that it surprised me a lot.

I have been taking Zytiga with 5mg prednisone for 6years now I have had side effects of high blood pressure now I have low Potassium level of 2.7 .has anyone else had this issue. My kidney doctor said double the dose of potassium from 10meq to 20 each day and check level in on week.

Urologist wants 24 months of Eligard and now wants to add Zytiga. PSMA showed no mets other than the presacral nodes. I’m wondering if adding Zytiga is an overkill at this point and if anyone else has a similar situation.

After Orgovyx and Zytiga have failed is there any evidence Xtandi will help? Terry/Poollover

I just wonder can some side effects appear after taking Zytiga for over a year.

His medical oncologist changed his Oral drug to Zytiga with prednisone. He is told not to eat anything two hours before and one hour after Zytiga. And usually prednisone is taken after a meal. So should he take Zytiga and take a break of one hour and then have prednisone after the meal?

Once Orgovyx and Zytiga and Xtandi are no longer stopping my PSA from rising rapidly is there any point to continue taking them. My PSA is doubling every two weeks. It has gone from 0.67 to about 16 in two months. Poollover

I’ve been on the Zytiga/Lupron/Prednisone cocktail for about 13 months now. In that time, my A1C has shot up to where now I have diabetes. Now I know this is a possible side effects of this therapy. My question is, when I’m supposed to come off Zytiga (in about a year) does the A1C drop as well?

how many here take their other meds with Zytiga. I’m on several other meds and have occasional nally missed these doses waiting an hour to take them…..is it ok to take other meds with Zytiga…..? Technically meds are not food.

My oncologist suggests that we move from Xtandi to Zytiga and prednisone to see if we can stem the tide. All this appears to be standard for PCa progression and if Zytiga doesnt show an improvement I guess chemotherapy will be next on the list.

CR after lupron and zytiga metastatic. Effective for 50% of patients. That sucks

I have 2 options to think about: 1) to wait untill PSA reaches around 0.7 or more and than another PSMAPETC as I did before. 2)ADT+ Zytiga immediately and see what happens. Your opinions? Thank you all.

I've been on Lupron only since 2018 and I know we'll discuss the topic of adding Zytiga, Xtandi, Darolutamide, of Erleada. Is it OK to add any of those while I'm early into radiation?

I was wondering if the blood tests every two weeks for my husband who is on zytiga will continue while he is on it for the next 18 months? Or stop once his body is acclimated to the medication?

Curious, anyone who’s taken a vacation from Zytiga, Prednisone and Lupron experience joint pain during your hiatus? I’m about 6 weeks into my reprieve and I feel it in all my joints. Not terribly painful but more like arthritis although never actually had that ailment. If so, anny suggestions ?.

We live in TN, and he would travel twice a year for his Lupron shot and Zytiga prescription renewals. This might be a good time to find a good doctor closer. Any recommendations for a doctor near Nashville?

After about a year and a half Orgovyx and Zytiga my PSA began to double. My MO started me on Taxotere which has dropped my PSA and my anemia is a little better. What I would like to know is should I stop the other drugs? My MO wants me to stop all drugs except the Chemo. Is he correct? Poollover

I've been on orgovyx and zytiga for 2 years, doc wants me to stay on it for another 5 months. RP, Gleason 9, cancerous node removed, radiation, Decipher .93. My PSA tests have been < .006 since starting ADT. Last week it's been painful to urinate but only once per day or so.

Orgovyx and Zytiga brought my Gleason 9 cancer to a PSA of 0.67, but after 5 months my PSA has slowly risen to 1.59. Would it help to switch from Zytiga to Zanda? Poollover

MY PSA rose quickly to 16, after about a year it held fairly steady around one, using Orgovyx and Zytiga, It now has more than tripled in about a month. I think I should try Xtandi, even though I'm quite anemic. At 87 my MO feels I can't handle chemo. I agree. Any thoughts? Poollover
