Hi there,Our human mum had just starting out on her healthy living regime....and thought she should say hello.
She's prediabetic and needs to lose a couple of Stone to get to a healthier weight, so she's doing lots of walking everyday before work and has cut out the snacking....it's hard for her though... As we still like our treats!!
If anyone has any tips on beating the munchies, we can pass them on to her and it would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks

Tealover71 welcome to HealthUnlocked! If your name indicates it, you love tea. And I too am a tea lover! As for the 'problem' of snacking I have earlier tried to cut it out altogether. But I found that I kept thinking of food all the time. So, I now do 2 things:
1) Eat a little snack stuff along with my meals. Oil free snacks better, but don't deny yourself altogether.
2) Eat a small quantity when I feel like it, but make sure to include more of peanuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds. I also snack on cucumbers, tomatoes (with a little pepper and salt on them)
See if this way of snacking works for you. And good luck with your walking and love to the cats.
Well done for starting on your walking journey! Have you downloaded the A10 up? For many, hunting after its colourful badges is really motivating. If you scroll down to the bottom of our homepage, there is a link on how to get the app.

Hi and welcome, Snacking I find drinking plenty of water and at least a pint after a meal helps, I go for grapes mainly but any fruit helps also fish sticks are a brilliant syn free option. After my weigh in I always treat myself to a snack 😋. Good luck
