What am I doing?

Text from grandson this morning, I'm home today how about a swim? So I rushed to the shops and bought a swimsuit along with my food shopping, got home to see a text, actually I need to shop for swim shorts, so picked him up and rushed to the shops again Haven't been to the pool in years, we swam 10 lengths, decided that would do for a start as we were both puffing like trains

Home for cheese on toast and my neighbour text to say she's ready for our walk (don't people know it's a rest day today?)

We dropped grandson home, then walked 4.65k today we headed for the sea and walked along the seafront, breezy and warm, perfect

Wow, you’ve really packed it all in today! Not sure if I can swim and then do a long walk too.

I’ll bet your ready for a good sit down now 😆.

I am but I have dinner things to do soon, 10 lengths though? We did so much more before COVID shut the pools

Brilliant! I think you're going to need another rest day to get over this one! 😂💪🏊‍♂️🚶‍♀️

We have run 3 week 1 tomorrow, we are walking and running alternate days, but 10 lengths? My grandson used to do 50 regularly and I have swum 63 lengths which is a mile, 10 lengths is hilarious but hav not swum lengths for years

Good swim and walk for you today Sola, although I love water and small boats, I have never tried to swim, at school I did some running and of course I cycled a lot but no swimming.

I used to swim several times a week Al, but the pools shut down with COVID and it's the first proper swim for years, 10 lengths isn't much but it's a start

Nice bit of cross training for you! How lovely to go swimming again with your grandson 🏊🏻‍♀️

When I belonged to a gym, I felt chuffed if I swam 4 lengths…100 metres…swimming is not my strongest sport!

Wow I can't remember the last time I went swimming, but it was before Covid. What a lovely spontaneous thing to do, and a beach walk too, looks wonderful x

He's a lot of fun and we swam a lot at the pool before COVID so it was good, we are both a lot less fit than we were, he came running a couple of times when we first started but said it was too much for him

,😃 between morning walking back from the garage and back to the garage and our 5k this afternoon we've decided to have a complete rest tomorrow and run on Saturday, the walking and running is releasing pent up energy that otherwise I don't know what to do with, I'm eating well, just got to crack the sleeping and I'll be in tip top condition x

Yes, it's better than it was, oh and my neighbour lost 2kbs this week, the walking has boosted her healthy eating, and I lost 1 lb, not sure how I've eaten loads
