Back to the woods in the rain

A shorter walk of 3.6km in the woods today. Mud and puddles underfoot, dripping trees overhead, but cool fresh air and comfortable new trail shoes.. Caressed by sopping wet bracken on narrow paths, so a complete change of clothes when we got home.

That looks awesome! Definitely can't do the sort of walk, let alone run, yet. But I'll get there! 😍

Yes! You will definitely get there.. I know so many people who have had major back issues and even major surgeries but come back from them stronger.. even after 60!.. the key seems to be the determination to keep moving and do what you can when you can.. I know you have that determination..💪🏽

I'm actually surprised. I was doing the bare minimum for my back and shoulder - a lot of days 20+ minutes, but not seeking other exercises and for pain relief rather than strengthening. I think the running changed my mindset. I am already setting out new pilates/yoga/exercise routines to ring the changes and freshen up the daily routine.

Seeing such a gorgeous woody pic gives me something to aim for. It will be a long time before I'd be confident to run in such a place, but I have some woods in mind for walking in the autumn now!

A positive mindset makes all the difference, but it’s hard to achieve if you feel tired all the time.. somehow a gentle walk in the woods always seems to help me to feel more positive and less tired..

Hi , yes I run outside 1/2 times a week and still twice on the treadmill , There's a park at the back of my garden so it’s good for that 😁 I’m enjoying it . Hope you’ve been ok 🐈 x
