First walk for a few days!

Well it's been a few days since my last walk because .. wait for it.......... I hurt my back again !

I really couldn't make this up !

Simply picking up a towel from the bathroom floor.

Soooo heavy those wet towels ๐Ÿคฃ

So that was last Saturday, I spent the rest of the day barely able to move .

Sunday was a little better then gradually improving again.

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday managed some gardening and today out for a walk.

I took my usual recent route with the option of cutting it short if I felt the need, luckily all was ok.

So it was/is a nice afternoon here , sun is out and it's actually quite warm.

I was certainly warming up on the walk .

Fingers crossed my back stays in one piece now . ๐Ÿคž

Sorry about the setback, how frustrating for you. But good news that things have improved since, gently does it. Lovely photos. ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Yes the setbacks keep coming but the next direction is still forward ๐Ÿ™‚

I agree, itโ€™s important to remember your goal and stay motivated.๐Ÿ‘

Great news about the back settling down and some lovely photos. I especially like those cows!

Thank you !The cows were so noisy!

I could hear them from the road but couldn't see them till I got to a gap in the hedge, I think they must have just been let out ๐Ÿ˜

Theyโ€™re so funny when theyโ€™re like that! There are a load of juveniles around here that make a right racket. Their favourite thing is to chase the farmer in his tractor when itโ€™s bringing the bale of hay for dinner. Theyโ€™re like a massive version of my guineas getting overexcited about food and leaping around, shouting their heads off!

Haha, yes, exactly that !They make me smile ๐Ÿ˜

Massive guinea pigs ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Oh poor you! But you're out and about again, so fingers ๐Ÿคž this time! At least winter has finally gone at last and you can enjoy some walks (and then cto5k!) in good weather. Take care of yourself.

I think you need some bubble wrap to protect you for a while ๐Ÿฅฐ sounds painful. No more injuries for a while now please ๐Ÿ˜‰ lovely pics by the way.

I think some specialised strength training is essential for wet towels Instructor57 ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ I hope it passes quickly ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

Now there's a good idea !I'll suggest it to the cardiac rehab team .

Perhaps they can get some wet towels in the gym ๐Ÿ˜

When picking up a towel, always bend very slowly and Bend Ze Knees. Happened to me before pmr. Crippled for a week... on ibuprofen and paracetamol with hot water bottle in the car coming from Scotland for 8 hours stopping at service stations to renew the hot water bottle water! Never happened again ๐Ÿคž

I know .... So easy to forget to bend the knees sometimes, a week on now and almost back to where I was ๐Ÿ™‚

oh not again. Yes itโ€™s so easy to hurt your back. I like the cows at a distance not to walk through. Lovely weather for a walk or gardening. Go easy. ๐Ÿ˜Š

oh no! That sort of thing is so annoyingโ€ฆand you feel a wally when you tell people how you got your injury.

Mr.L took a misstep off the bottom stair, didnโ€™t think anything of it. Foot hurting the next morningโ€ฆblamed it on an overnight ferry trip back from Ireland. Went to GP next day as not betterโ€ฆsent to A&Eโ€ฆwho sent him straight to X rayโ€ฆturns out he had fractured metatarsals ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ
