5.38 km walk ~ a bit of yellow

I went for a walk this afternoon instead of morning as food shopping today. Hate the putting away. Went along past the fading daffodils but managed to take a phot o last yellow primroses starting to go back. I walked through small village and onto to the small woods with picnic tables in it, so still . Crossed the road and onto the riverside walk making my walk back home. Plenty of people to say hello to and dog walkers. At least it is dry underfoot. Went up the hill past the bowling club and along the river again to the Abbey, busy there with visitors. Down through the town and took a couple of photos in neighbours garden last bit of yellow but I don’t know what shrub it is.

back for a cup of herbal tea and rest back and ribs.

I always enjoy looking at the photos, thank you.

I have the shrub bottom right which I think is a Kerria.

That having time thing is good isn't it?

Good walk for you this afternoon Doris8, lovely photo, the daffodils are beginning to fade as its now nearly the end of April, of course you will see plenty of dog walkers in such a lovely area you walk in, I hope you enjoyed your herbal tea after that walk.

This morning being Thursday I attended my weekly walking group, a very quick 4K walk for me, I was walking with a lady who took me home in her car after the walk as she was in a hurry to go shopping, she attends a gym several days a week and runs 5K on the treadmill in the gym, by the way this Saturday morning I will be for the first time the tailwalker at one of the parkruns I go to., enjoy the rest of the day.

Thanks ALMORR I did. Liquorice and spearmint tea. That will be different for you doing tailwalker. Good luck with your jag.

The jag is necessary, I had to cancel a concert I was going to as the jag and the afternoon concert were on at the same time

Bad timing, but for the best your getting it.

I bought the ticket for the concert 3 months ago, the letter telling me the date of my booster shot for Covid 19 dropped through my letterbox only 3 weeks ago.

could the jag date not have been changed ?

No it could not been changed., it was either the concert or the jag, I chose the latter.

I would have done the same.. I do t think other age groups getting this one ,think just the vulnerable.

lovely long walk for you Doris. The yellow is being overtaken by other colours now…a lot of bluebells are in the woods now.

That shrub is a kerria japonica I believe 😊🌼

Yes thanks Lottie . Colours are changing. Our bluebells heads haven’t popped their heads through yet in garden.
