I can't believe that it's been 14 days since I didn't have to don my waterproofs to take Monroe out for a walk. I also can't believe what a difference it made to walk in the dry, even if the roads, fields, and verges are still absolutely drenched.
I was rewarded with a postcard and another tree planting ππ³ Just over 80% of the way through the Mines of Moria now and on the the home run π

Thank you AlMorr π. The cold doesn't bother me at all, but being sodden wet seriously does π It was frosty this morning on the car windscreen, so the chill is already starting to bite βοΈ
I notice that the temperature in Oslo and Helsinki is - 13C and - 16C respectively, hopefully it doesn't get as cold as that in the next few weeks in the UK, brrr
Gosh, just in time for our houseβs heating to be fixed! Person came today and we can now stop freezing in the upper half of the house with all radiators being online again. Pretty happy about this, as I was fearing the January-February frosty weather!
I got absolutely drenched walking home last night- only a 20 minute walk - my trusty coat just managed to keep me mostly dry but itβs still not dry after 12 hours - itβs the equivalent of 400 mm rainproof.
I hope it gets better soon as I am doing the Landβs End to John OβGroats challenger challenge.
I did it last year with MVM / Country Walking but this one is 86 miles further.
