A treadmill walk

I had a couple of days of fairly heavy gardening (well to be honest, any gardening is heavy for me, not my favourite pastime)I had been let down twice by someone who was going to tackle it for me.

Once I can accept, but twice and then no contact since .... He's now lost the job .

I'd been putting it off because of my back but it had to be done.

So front and rear lawns needed my petrol strimmer and then mowing afterwards.

With the harness for the strimmer it was ok (once I'd managed to start it).

Then my new mower made reasonably light work of the rest .

Anyway, that was enough exercise for the two days it took me and although my back was ok my right foot was aching with the Plantar Fasciitis so no walking.

Friday I needed to rest apart from a visit to the shop .

Today I really needed to walk but the showers were fairly frequent so treadmill it was !

This has certainly been useful since my HA.

So a 40 minute walk, first and last 5 minutes as a warm up and cool down so 30 minutes at an intensity of around 12 or 13 on the Borg scale.

Back a little uncomfortable but nothing too much .

Maybe some light exercise on the stability ball later to keep it moving !

Well done on your treadmill walk. I can feel for you with the plantar fasciitis . Not sure if I have it or not but not getting the heel pain on getting out of bed in morning but arch pain a lot in feet, and both feet didn’t help with wearing completely flat sandals to wedding.

Yes it's so frustrating!I did have it before I ever started running but then it disappeared after a few months

Hoping it will do the same again .

eccentric heel drops can help!

Isn't it annoying when people let you down like that?Well done on all that gardening though. I reckon that's more strenuous than any walk.

Sounds like that dreadmill was a good investment. I managed to get out this morning in warmth and intermittent sunshine before the rain set in

It's very annoying when people let you down .It annoys me more as I taught him to drive about 3 years ago and always turned up for him !

Ahh well .

Yes the gardening was certainly a good workout 🙂

Hopefully get a walk in today (Sunday) 🤞

Gardening is always a pretty good workout! 😉

The treadmill is a really useful piece of equipment to have in our interesting British weather! No need to keep checking the forecast and estimating a clear window of opportunity. Also the only essential kit are your trainers…you can wear what you want indoors, no one can see you! 😂
