A Run to start the day and a walk to finish it 🌞

I have been waiting for the temperature to drop for my walk .I went out around 6:50pm and still 25 degrees but at least the UV level has dropped.

Just wanted to get my steps up for the day .

I went out in the lightest running gear I have.

Very light thin shorts and an equally light and thin running vest .

First time I have been able to fit in it for a long time !

It's a nice route to walk with quite a bit of tree cover near the beginning and about half way through .

Just enough to cool down again before coming back into the open .

So that's over 11,200 steps for the day, made up of my run this morning (Week 3 run 2 ) gardening , then my walk this evening!

The picture was taken this morning about 06:35 just at the start of my run point ,

It's also 5 minutes from home at the end of my walk !

Stay cool everyone πŸ™‚πŸŒž

Well done for keeping those steps up!

I hope the temperature comes down soon though. Don’t think I can cope with too many more 5am starts!

not quite as hot as yesterday, but still very hot around here as well. I fear I’ll have to make myself join the early bird gang soon , if the weather stays as hot as it has! 😳πŸ₯±πŸ›Œ

Well done for getting out there in the early evening! That time has become my indoor rowing time, but I tend to seldom run or walk at that time.

Well done on keeping the step count up. It's quite hard to get that many each day.

Thank you , some days a bit less, others are more , averaging about 8000 a day over 7 days πŸ™‚

11,500 steps is excellent Ian, it's very warm everywhere at the moment with no sign of cooler weather so runners and walkers should avoid the heat by running or going long walks early or later in the day, This morning I ran 10K starting at 7.30 and still felt warm by the end of the run, I should have started even earlier, I certainly could not have gone further even if I had planned it, so keep safe and cool.

Thanks Alan, and well done on a 10k , I'm sure it would have been warming up by the time you finished πŸ₯΅

Well done, yes it is quite a challenge to keep cool whilst running with the intense heat! Luckily part of the area where I run has really large trees and hedgerows and they give a lovely shade during the morning.

Looks like slightly cooler here for a day or 2, but will still try and run fairly early πŸ™‚
