Hello all, lovely reading about everybody's walks. Still not managing to do my walks and still waiting for my physio appointment. I am managing to do a few excersise to ease the pain.
Another question, does anybody know or have a a foam mattress eg. Tempur, Eve, Casper or simba? I am thinking of buying one to help my back etc
. Hope you are all keeping warm in this lovely late winter. We are lucky where we live, Cheshire, hardly any snow but very cold eastern wind. 💨💨

Hi Fanfanpicon - I've missed you! So sorry to hear you're still in pain, it wears you down when it's constant, hey? Can't help you with the mattress issue. I bought a new bed last year, but went for one with a memory foam top. I did consider the eve, cos you get a 30 day trial. And the Casper got some award or other from "Which". My back's out at the minute too, so I'm at the chiropractor weekly - luckily on Wednesday this week cos the Beast dumped a huge amount of snow here in the West Country yesterday! Today the wind's bitter and really pumping, so won't be going out. I do so hope your appointment comes through soon, so you can get some relief from the pain and be mobile again.
Yes, we looked at the memory foam top one. But hubby has ordered a simba, we were lucky we got a £100 voucher off the price. Also a free trial. Let's hope it's worth it.
The simba has had good reviews! But you know how it is - a mattress is so personal. I think being able to have a trial period is the way to go - I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that it really helps you to have a painless sleep!
Good luck on the mattress front. It makes a world of difference to me when I sleep on a good supported bed.
And wishing you speedy healing. I'm sorry to hear you're still sore. It's positive that you can get the exercises in, hopefully they bring some relief.
Thank you for your kind words. Looking forward to this new mattress arriving. I seem to do excersises in the middle of the night when it is at its most painful. So hoping the new mattress will help.
Hiya, I bought a simba mattress just after Christmas, my old sprung one needed replacing and I developed a bad back last summer - not caused by the mattress but I was finding it very difficult to find a comfortable position to sleep in. It is a very personal choice but I have to say this is the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on. My hips and shoulders sink in just the right amount to keep my spine in correct alignment whether I'm on my side or back, and the thin layer of springs underneath give just the right amount of support to stop me sinking too far. It might be too soft if you sleep on your front but sleeping on your front isn't great anyway if you have a bad back. I hope you find it as comfortable as I do 😀
