How is everyone on the #Walk1000Miles doing ? Are you managing to hit your target miles? And more importantly, are you enjoying your walks in hot or wet or cool summers?
As many of you know, I started off this challenge by committing to putting all my mileage-based activities into this challenge. I knew my walking mileage alone would set me up to failure. All my yearly averages of mileages (rowing, running and walking) still indicated I’m 25% lower than what it would have needed to be.
So I set up my challenge in such a way to row, run and walk more. For me, it’s not #Walk1000Miles, but #Walk-Run-Row1000Miles. And that’s what a challenge is for, to give you a challenging but realistic fitness target, right?
And I’m doing ok, I’m ahead in mileage and a few weeks ago received my 750mile notification!
And more positively, my walking mileage has increased (also by jeffing more), my back ache (which I usually get when walking) has disappeared and I’m still inspired to continually get out there!
And I’m also constantly immensely inspired and in awe of many of our walkers who are reaching their targets by walking daily! AWESOME!!!’
So how is everyone else on this challenge doing with their #Walk1000Miles? Are you managing to hit your target miles? Have you adapted the challenge to your needs? Are you reaping the benefits? And more importantly, are you enjoying your walks and activities?
