I actually thought I didn’t do so well this week, but my stats tell me otherwise! Apple health tells me my last 5 weeks have been considerably more active than the 12 weeks before that. And my Apple-fitness circles don’t look too bad either! Thank you, Apple Health!
And I’m still ahead my average marker on my #Walk1000Miles, e.g. my pace marker, but I’m obviously adding all my running and rowing to my #1000miles score.
So all good, even though I know my pace marker has been catching up with me over the last few days when I didn’t manage to do both running - walking and rowing.
How is everyone else doing with their #Walk1000Miles? Are you managing to hit your target miles? And more importantly, are you enjoying your cold walks!

Hi well done on your 1000 mile challenge, and you’re ahead of your target. I’m just doing the walking miles or kms I do on Strava and Garmin connect. It’s good that Garmin on km and Strava on miles so at least I don’t have to convert. I think doing the miles instead of including steps would put me well ahead , i I thought just doing the mileage more of a challenge. I downloaded a map of places you reach on miles on an old 1000 miles and I am in East Sussex 140 miles., colouring them in as I go along .I have been out sometimes twice a day if time. Yes enjoying walks so far, hate the rain more than the old, and haven’t hit a wet day yet. It’s keeping it going and not trying to miss a day or so, but at least I’ve got a bit extra miles in hand. Keep going😊
I've walked & run 331 km so far this month (not yet today, will go out shortly!), which means I am averaging over 11 km per day - putting me well on target for my 4.000 km goal 🥳
As with other things here, there've been a few days where this challenge has nudged me on, so thank you so much for organizing it, CBDB !
Average distance walked & run per day so far in January...
Well, it's not that much more than I walked in 2022, so I actually think it's achievable - only about 110 km more or less than half a km per day... 😎
We'll see as I am thinking I want to find some cross-training (to running) that'll get me off my feet more than walking... Then I might need some way of "translating" that into kilometers walked...
Hi #CBCB and thanks for suggesting this challenge. I don’t post here often but I do read the posts here and on C25k and Bridge210k. I’ve been doing the challenge for three weeks now and am well on track – just passing through St Austell on the online map!
