Seasons greetings to you CBDB, yes I will be going a walk every day, I am a member of my local walking group on a Thursday, however, the group is off on Thursday 22nd and Thursday 29th December, it will return on Thursday 5th January 2023, we go a 4K walk and after the walk have cake and coffee in the local leisure centre. That hasn't stopped me getting out and having a walk on my own, on Friday 23rd December I will be going a 4K walk, Saturday 24th December, a Christmas Eve 5K parkrun, Christmas Day a short 1K walk with my neighbours dog Holly and for the rest of the holiday season I will be out going a walk for general exercise as well as a 5K run on Wednesday 28th December.
Have a lovely walk sessions as well... Have been walking whilst listening to audible... That is brilliant... Happy holidays to everyone and a stupendous new year's
Yes, audiobooks might be just the thing to listen to when walking. Will need to try this! (but don’t have a subscription… yet… so, where is my wish list I sent Santa…. )
merry Xmas to u . I will be walking as well over the festive season in sunny Madeira ☀️( I hope). Mr D doing a run in Funchal 6 km at night , lots of participants, which I usually do but not chancing it. Will get plenty of walks. 🤶🎄
Just to say that I have just been on my morning constitutional. It’s not very far but with the temperature being 6 degrees centigrade am feeling a lot fresher for the exercise.
Oh and just by the way, as people have mentioned where they are. So in that ‘spirit,’ so to speak, I am in Bedfordshire, UK. Happy Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
Happy season wishes! This is the day we in Germany normally celebrate Christmas. We give each other presents in the evening, before or after the main Christmas meal. (But I also now live in the UK)
A morning constitutional is a bit of a British thing whereby a person goes out for a long walk, or exercise the dog (and yourself at the same time), it’s time set aside where a little bit of exercise takes place in whatever form that takes. Hope that explains the phrase for you.
