Hello all- I've just joined and hoping to lose some weight. I'm about 5 stone overweight but looking at half a stone goals at a time as that doesnt seem so daunting. Any tips or ideas would be most welcome.

Half stone goals seems very practical. Good luck with it. 😄

Welcome Starry. I needed to lose about 3 stone, and am nearly there. I used LCHF (low carb/high fat) and IF (intermittent fasting). I can't recommend that approach enough.

Those are the words I tell people small goals not as.daunting!!!!

A good starting point is the nhs 12 week plan gradually introduces you to exercise too. If you're going to calorie count though don't use the generic amount but work out your personal allowance on nhsnhs bmi calculator and eat towards top end of the allowance then got wiggle room join in a weigh day too and will get plenty of support, your just in time for Wednesday wobble warriors weigh in goes from 9pm tonight till 9pm tomorrow to allow for different time zones but whatever day best for you. Read through what admin sends, jump on in and good luck
