Hi Everyone

I am new to this site as i am starting the 12 week plan today. I have put 2 stone on slowly over the last 2 years and have hit an all time low. I need motivation and will power to get me through as i find it hard due to working full time and having 2 young children. i need to shift 2 n 1/2 stone to reach my goal and i am looking forward to starting this journey.

I felt like you two years ago. Two stone overweight, hated my body, hated my clothes and was not a happy bunny ( even though my private life was good and stable) . So...join the "club" most of us started from a similar place. You can do this and you'll never look back . I took a year to lose my 30lbs , slow and steady, but have since maintained it for the last 14 months. You can too. 😊

I joined last week. Very similar story; I've put on about 2 1/2 stone gradually over 3 years. I work very long hours and suddenly find myself ravenous mid afternoon as I haven't had lunch. I'm on holiday this week and trying hard to avoid unhealthy food.

Its very hard isnt it im just hoping this will help as i need a lot of support. I struggle most with take aways on a weekend. not good :(

I've managed to avoid takeaways because I compare the price with how much it would cost to do my own! My husband bought me a Fitbit last year and that's good to see how much walking is required to 'pay' for high calorie food (a lot!).

When I was losing weight I still indulged in weekend visits to the pub or takeaways etc, as long as I planned for it and counted into my weekly calorie count. Id cut back on two weekdays so that i could have more at weekends. Ive since been maintaining for over a year, but I still do this.

For example, on a saturday Id start with a high protein, filling brunch such as a 3 egg omelette with tomatoes, ham. If I needed a snack later Id have a raw carrot with humous. Then I could indulge a bit more in the evenings .... couple glasses of wine, a vegetable curry, plain rice (avoid the naan !) Better still, make your own healthy curries or low carb pizza . Some great recipes on the web, hairy bikers, bbcfood, myfitnesspal etc

You CAN do it. The hard part is resisting all the junk food. Keeping your portions sizes to the right size and making healthy choices isn't too bad once you get through the first week.

Maybe (if you're children are old enough) do the exercise with them, get a skipping rope or a bike.

It's funny how our weight just creeps on up over the years, that's what happened to me, but I've lost weight and I know you can

Hi everyone.

I am new to the site and have been on an all time low regarding my weight, But today was my first day, actually had breakfast😱 First time in ages, Drank plenty of water as well as a 20min brisk walk to work in the☔️ A couple of slip ups, a couple of biscuits with my coffee after work but more from habit than anything. I haven't given myself a massive target I just want to be out of size 18/20 clothes and feel healthy :)
