New guest !! Feeling very fat, have at least 2 stone to lose and have tried in the past ....but failed.....so thought I would try this. Seeing doctor tomorrow as blood pressure might be a problem. Going on holiday next week but dreading packing ...nothing fits !!

Good Morning, Have been to doctor to have blood pressure checked and been declared fit but FAT ...need to lose it !! So here goes .....I am 68 years old and this morning weighed in at 13stone and 3pounds. I am going on holiday (is this the right time to start this I wonder !!!) I will not be able to check in until 2 weeks today but I promise, whatever the outcome, I will weigh in on the 6th October xxxxx

This guy says stop eating some stuff like wheat and vegetable oils to start losing weight.
Not sure if it's true or not, but certainly, cutting these high GI components will decrease your calorie intake and start your weight loss.

Well done for declaring your weight Christmasfairy I am sure you will make a success of this - you seem very determined, and with us all behind each other, the only that we will lose is weight.
I haven't had time to check, but have you visited the Feelgood Friday Weigh In hosted by lucigret as well? If not, it really is well worth joining them - they are ever so slightly chattily supportive and encouraging.
Hi have you checked out your bmi on the bmi calculator as you can find out how many calories you should be eating between to be able to lose weight. I never used to eat enough and this was my problem because when I first started I only ate around 1000cals a day because I thought I would lose weight by eating less but It turned everything I ate into body fat and this weighs more than eating enough calories would so it stops me from losing weight and sometimes puts weight on instead. Hope this doesn't happen to you too. Good luck with your journey.
