Hello Islam and welcome :)

Someone from the administration team will reply to you shortly, providing you with information on how to get the best from this forum.

As to what to do? Firstly, try not to look at your coming journey as a race. Learning to eat and drink sensibly is going to take you a long way and trying to eat to little is likely to end in failure.

May I suggest that you start to build up routines that are going to help you keep your focus daily and weekly. Have a look at joining one of the Weekly Weigh-ins, here is Tuesday's one... healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

... and start using the Daily Diary...

My suggestion would be to read through each of them before replying and try to get a feel for the type of help and camaraderie that is on offer for each of these.

Just ask, if you have any questions at all.

Goo luck! :)

Hi. I am a convert to Islam.

Start by doing home exercise each day, walking, then slowly jogging.

Walking everyday, increase the distance

When you have completed this you can move to jogging.

Workouts at homes are great and effective. There are so many apps to aid you on this journey

Some good ideas about exercise, and in these times, especially about how we can manage much of it within our homes.

Exercise is important for the overall health of our body (and our mind :) ) whilst most weight loss is 80-90% how we manage what we eat and drink.

Hello and welcome Sloma,

If you haven't already, please take the time to read the Welcome Newbie post, this will help you to navigate the forum, which is best done using the full website and not the app.

Please also take a look at all of the Challenges, Clubs and Events that we have, to help to keep you motivated and engaged with the forum.

The above link will take you to all the information you need. Participation is key to success and I would recommend that you at least join the Daily Diary and a Weigh In day of your choice.

Wishing you the best of luck in your weight loss journey and looking forward to seeing you around the forum :)

Hi Sloma,

Welcome. As lucigret said look at the NHS weight loss. I started by doing a daily food diary to find out my problem areas- too many snacks and too much bread. Then I started to tot up my calorie intake, go by your personal calorie total from having put your statistics into the calculator. This is really important, may not seem so, but it will help with a steady continuous healthy weight loss. Keep reading the posts and you will feel the support from knowing you are not on your own.

Good luck.
