Hi Help- and welcome.
You probably haven't had time to read all the Pinned Posts that Indigo has linked but it's worth doing that to gain an idea of what's here and how you can get involved to help yourself.
To get yourself started really quickly, I would suggest joining today's Weekly Weigh-in... healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
and the Daily Diary... healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
Joining in has been proved to be really helpful. Best of luck!
Hello Help-,
Many of us come here thinking we have tried everything, only to find that actually we haven't.
Have a good read of the site and see what other people are doing - you will get some good ideas of eating plans by joining in with the Daily Diary. We can see what you are eating and offer better advice.
I would suggest that you have a good shake up and change what you are eating, many of us get in a rut. If you are using all low calorie/diet foods, then stop, they have far too much sugar in them (they had to do something to give them flavour after removing the fat). Sugar makes you crave more. Fat is satiating and you can go longer between meals and if you lower your beige carbs, (these turn to sugar in your body), you will find that any cravings and desire to snack between meals will just disappear.
Have a read of this enlightening post,

Wishing you all the best and looking forward to seeing you getting involved around the forum
Hi, Help- , welcome.
If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.
Some of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
Newbies IF FAQ:
healthunlocked.com/fasting-...
The Fasting and Furious Forum, here on Health Unlocked:

Thanks m I have done the fasting. ...not a kg. My mom actually lives on it. I have done the high fat....also nothing. So desperate
Have you also done low-carbohydrate? ...at the same time as High-Fat and IF? ...for weeks or months?
No, never knew that you did them together. I did it for a month and never lost a grm
It is the combination that works best.
I started today, so hold thumbs
If you're keen on following lchf then you may find this HU group of some help... healthunlocked.com/lchf-diet and many people here use DietDoctor.com, especially for their recipes which are so tasty.
Hi and welcome read the info sent pick a plan and jump on in. If you go for calorie counting check your allowance on BMI calculator and eat towards top end of it. Also join in a weigh day for extra support. Good luck
Thanks I'm going to read up on everything now and join
Good if you join a weigh day you will find them in events and they run from 9 pm day before to 9 pm on day to allow for overseas members
I have done the fasting, and no success. I have been to medical dieticians and still no weight loss. Feel like jumping off a building. I don't recognise myself
Well we don't want you to do that.
Don't think of all you've got to loose that's too daunting, just set yourself small manageable goals and give yourself a non food treat when you reach it even if it's just something small like new pair of knickers..... hopefully cos others too big ( you'll see in other posts I was walking Archie when a pair of mine fell down!!!!) Slow and sure wins the race your in it for a marathon not a sprint. Start by cutting out snacks, concentrate on healthy home made meals and with our support you'll get there. Rome wasn't built in a day.
Sorry for all clichés but they're all true in this case. And lastly don't think of it as a diet but a healthy eating plan for life. You CAN do it.
