Well I've done it!! I've taken that first step to becoming "less of me" and I couldn't be happier. I bought a wicked set of scales that tell me my weight, BMI, body fat %, hydration and muscle mass. They even bluetooth the details to my phone app!!! There is no hiding the truth from myself now!!
For breakfast I had mushrooms on toast @ 165 kcals and it was yummy. For lunch we just ate pepper and onion melts again very tasty and we doubled up to 384 kcals. Tonight we are having salmon with spring onion mash. I have been using the meal mixer app and it seems to work really well, it's a shame there isn't a "search" button and some of the recipes seem to disappear occasionally but you can't have everything. I'm saving them to a Pinterest board so that I can access them easily.
I'm really looking forward to weighing myself next week to see how much I have lost.

Hello! congratulations on such a successful day 1. your food sounds very yummy and healthy today! a very good start i am massively jealous of your scales. mine are supposed to tell your muscle % but they do not work and never have in a way I understand. hope you don't find this rude but could I ask where you got your fancy scales from and how much they cost? (are scales a terrible thing to ask for for Christmas? lol)
Hiya. Thanks for your message. We got the scales from Amazon £27.99, TaoTronics
Smart Bathroom Scale, TaoTronics with Four Precision Sensors Home Bathroom Weight Scale (Measures Weight, BMI, Fat, Water, Muscle, Bone Mass, BMR, & AMR, 12 User Memory Mode, Smart App, FDA Certified)
They are blue. You download the app as per instruction booklet and it works!

When I rejoined this forum a couple of weeks ago I found a challenge I always knew dieting can be about emotional mindset and this challenge is really helping me
Well done! Your scales sound amazing! Mine are ancient and not digital. They are more or less accurate I think, though they have to be on 3lb rather than 0 before you stand on them! Salmon with spring onion mash sounds lovely. Good luck with your first week.
Sound like a great start. Your new scales sound interesting - I will look them up. Glad you are so motivated and looking forward to the results on those scales next week. Best of luck
