I've struggled for about 3 years with rapid weight gain/loss for various reasons (medication , fatigue, flare ups, dislocations/subluxations,bowel problems, mental health, diet and binge eating, drinking) .
I feel little more better around control over my eating habits now and emotional control. I am now following WW and Juiceplus .
I felt a bit comprehensive following both but it is working ok .
Breakfast I have shake and capsules . Snacks and other meals are WW.
Taking each day at a time is important.
I'm using theses as resources but I know it comes to how I feel as well.
I now understand my emotions and reactions on impulsive and food intake. I have EUPD so can struggle on emotion regulation and much more. (I had to dig deep around Psychology around food but I managed to understand these and now working on them with healthier coping mechanisms.
I really enjoy WW. I personally feel they are an all rounded company look after mental health as well as physical health to. They do not restrict what I can or can't eat however limit the proportions.
They helped me make healthier choice and still have some special treats if I feel I would like one.
They provide physical and mental activities to help around food/wellbeing . Headspace is brilliant (meditation and mindfulness) and the ww app is good tracking foods and having support connection with others. Fiton for exercise and can be adapted to meet physical health/disabilities needs also.
I'm feeling a lot more in control with theses Resources helping me . I don't feel I'm on a so called 'diet' with WW however the shakes Ido feel some restriction. This is why I have one shake a day instead of 2. I feel this is working in my routine and will weight myself regularly to keep record. I've limited myself to weight once a week (I was doing 4 times a week before) and plus you get points on the app for weekly weighing.
I now understand once week you may not lose anything or might gain. And I now know 2lb loss a week is good rate. Losing weight take time. Rapid loss may result in gaining back as fast as you lost it. (which is very relatable)
Also i've read an article about measurements as well as weighting as weighting can have so many factors (including water tension ,muscle ,bone ect ect )
The points are motivating on the app even if it might be a few lbs gain that week tracking it still shows effort/consistency. It's showing you put in effort to make these personal steps and achieving those goals. I feel Dedicated time and effort is big factor in losing weight and I feel more happier I'm doing something about it. Its not just focus on 'food' it's a lifestyle. I lost happiness everywhere in life due to my weight and other issue.
Now...... I'm in much a better mind frame improving all around well being and health.
Things are beginning to look more clear and Remembering I'm not alone.
Thanks a lot of reading.
