I have to do a hiking trip and found it hard not able to pull my weight up.... a bit imbarrassed really. I was fit enough...but obviously at a weight that's too high to handle

That's gonna be tough but doable! I'm nearly at 4 stone in 8 months :)

hello Hidden

I suggest you try not to think about the numbers but take things One day at a time! Concentrate on a sensible eating plan, create good habits and start an exercise routine, 😊 good luck!

Hi Lilo36,

Welcome to the Weight Loss NHS forum. Do have a look at our Welcome Newbie post - see top right of the homepage where our Pinned posts area. Please join in with anything that you like the look of. I'd recommend the NHS 12 week plan as a great structure and full of helpful information for your weight loss journey. Maybe join the Monday group weigh-ins, if you like the thought of a weekly weigh-in.

Good luck!

Lowcal :-)

Hi and welcome Lilo :)

How about joining the Kilometre Zero challenge for motivation?

By increasing your exercise, you may find that your fitness levels will compensate for any of the 4st you may not lose in the time you have :)

All the best! :)

Totally agree. At presentI walk between 8000 to 15000 steps a day depending where I end up with work.

I would like to get to gym to have a jog too

You should join our Couch to 5K challenge then! You don't need a gym for it and it makes you feel great! :)
