Hi, ive just joined this group and am currently starting my massive goal of losing 5 stone, broken down into far more sensible goals of 7lb each target. Im starting the nhs plan NOW!!! How is everyone else finding it? Im trying to educate myself on why I overeat, as knowledge is power!!!

Hello and welcome, I wish you all the best for a successful weight loss journey.  I started here last Sept with 9 stone to lose and have lost nearly 6 of those, now.  I agree about thinking of just half a stone at a time, that has really helped me, too.

If you haven't seen it already, here is a link to a really brilliant post by Moreless, one of our Fab5 team and it is full of loads of great advice and inspiration:  healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Hi Vicks29  , I've got 3-4 stones to lose, I find NHS plan is working for me, I'm trying my best to stick to it and not return to my old habits.

Hi! I have 8 stone to lose and have lost 5 pounds so far (I'm 71/2 weeks in now) so going quite slowly!

Hi vicks29 😀 Im now on wk 11 of nhs12wk plan and have found it and this forum a gods send. I started at 12st9 and am now 11st6 ... yippee. The plan is more about eating better within your calorie allowance, making better choices, portion control, healthier snacking and moving more. You can still have your treats but in moderation. It's a change for life but sooooooo worth it. Good luck. Claire x

It's great and so easy. Receipes are delicious and simple to make. My wake up call has been the portion sizes. I would usually just throw ingredients into a pan, but measuring and weighing has helped immensely! Have lost 3 pounds on my first week :-)

Good luck
