Hi im new to the group. Ive got 18 months to my 60 birthday and im determined to loose some weight before then. Ive weighed myself today and my starting weight is 12:13. Ive tried many diets and groups but failed in all. Found the slimming groups very tiresome having to listen to everyones loss or gain which took up most of the evening. I need motivation to keep on track. As you all seem to weigh in on mondays i will weigh again tomorrow following the weekend. Im looking forward to achieving this time.

Welcome to the forum, there's lots and lots of motivated people here. I had never used a weight loss group but in my mind this lot are the best. Have you seen the newbie link in the pinned posts - it gives lots of helpful information. Hope to see your post this morning in Monday weigh in. I wish you good luck in your weight loss journey

Welcome you have come to the right place Like you I have tried other diets and really hated going to slimming groups

There are such lovely people on here that I feel I want to do it for them When I post and get such uplifting replies and support it has made such a huge difference to me

I only joined in June I've lost 10lbs so far and as I haven't been able to exercise due to a hip problem I'm over the moon

I know I would never had done it without this forum

You have 18 months which is ages and I know you will do it

My one tip that has made a big difference is when I get peckish between meals is I drink 2 cups of green tea It fills me up and stops my hunger pangs Not as lovely as a piece of cake or whatever but it does work

Wishing you all the very best keep us posted😍

I like the green tea tip 😀 I never think to make green tea, I drink gallons of "builders tea" but I do have some in the cupboard so I'll start to use it! 😋 Thanks

I always bought green tea with good intentions but it stayed in the cupboard I love normal tea but I have to have a biscuit with it I do have a cup and biscuit first thing My weight had just stuck so I tried the green tea in the afternoon when I really craved tea and biscuits I'm not over keen on it but it's working its filling me up until dinner time and I lost 3lbs this week xx

I will be 60 in 15 months and have also decided to take action. I have only been started for two weeks and so far have lost 6 pounds. I am not on a diet I am making good choices helped by the app. It really makes it clear what choices I can have and some simple tweaks can make all the difference. Good luck in your journey

Welcome to the gang. You have to be ready for a change in every part of your body. You have to find a healthy plan that you can live with for the rest of your life. Learn to cook healthy go the store with only healthy on you mind. Walk a little more see your self as getting healthy not in the number game on the scale. Will to change every way of thinking its a rad job at first but your body will thank you.
