Hi there, I have just joined weight loss NHS. I have lost 10Kg before I got married almost 4 years ago and slowly I have been putting grams back on! I cannot seem to find that motivation to stop eating empty calories and although I love exercising, I cannot find motivation to go to the gym more than once every two weeks or so.
It is after lunch that I have most problems. I am constantly hungry as soon as I finish my luch, no matter how big or small the lunch was!
Hoping to find here the help I need
xx Michelle

Hello and welcome Micabio ,
Try to distract yourself from food right after lunch, for example by doing some light exercises or going for a walk. As soon as you will get back on track with healthy eating, those urges will gradually disappear, as healthy food does wonders to your body and mind. The more vegetables you eat, the less you are prone to turn to shitty food.
Thanks Mamiyou! I work in an office and the temptations are everywhere! Hard to get distracted but I could certainly go for a walk around the building. Thanks for the tip! 😊
Before you eat any thing ask yourself this am I hungry and try drinking a glass of water. The other thing to say to yourself is I am not a dust bin .Good luck x

We have a weekly weigh-in on Mondays, so maybe join in with that if you like the idea of participating in weekly weigh-in group. Also, have a look at our Pinned Posts area (top right-hand-side of the homepage) as there are some interesting posts there.
Thanks lowcal! I'm very interested in the weigh in Mondays. Couldn't find how to get there yet but I'm sure I'll find out now that I'm playing with the site 😊 xx
Great to hear you're very interested in the Monday group weigh-in. Here's a link to last Monday's Afternoon/Evening session, if you would like to have a look at how it went:
You could click 'follow' and my name Zest and then you'd be automatically notified when the next session is posted - alternatively the post link is in the Events section (right-hand-side of the homepage) and is entitled 'Monday group weigh-in - Lowcal and the Fab 5'ers.
We'll look forward to having you on board with us on Monday. The Morning session is posted just before 6.30am, but you can literally come and post at whatever time in the day that suits you best.
Hi are you sure its really hunger as I felt the same before I started this plan. I think I was bored and a bit fed up. Now if I feel like eating I chew sugar free gum, have a glass if water or have a sugar free sweet. I find that distracts me enough and the craving goes away. You say you have lost weight successfully before so I am sure you will find the motivation to do it this time. Good luck.
