Hi I'm clareed and just joined few groups. I suffer from depression and with that comes lack of motivation, I am currently trying to lose weight and need some motivation to exercise now, thought some group support may help.

Hi Clareed, Well done on taking the first step! My Fitbit keeps me motivated, I can see at a glance just how active I have been. Also getting a routine helps, if you know that every day at a certain time you will walk for 20 minutes it is helpful. I joined a Zumba class after years of crippling body confidence and love it, Twice a week for an hour i throw off my anxiety and my inhibition and strut my stuff. I come out purple and sweating but I love it, it gives me a real boost!
Zumba is the best for confidence building - it is so empowering!
Hi Clareed, great to see you here! This forum is very motivating, just join in the activities and take part and you will find you enjoy the process much more than if you were doing it on your own.

Depression is a terrible thing, it saps you of energy, confidence and motivation. On good days try to write down all your positive thoughts and small victories to read on bad days. Remember to value yourself on the the good stuff, not the bad.
Can you get outside, even for a 5-10 minute walk? Just having sunshine on your face boosts the feel-good endorphins. Google a video called 23 1/2 hours about all the benefits of just short amount of time outside walking.
Also I think winter can be difficult, Spring is here with lighter nights and increased sunshine which may help 😊
If you can maybe take control of one thing in your life it may help
