Hello new to this site just wanted to say hi

Hi just wanted to get some tips and motivation and I'd like to offer tips and give motivation as well , I find it helps to talk weight loss etc with other people sometimes a good chat can stop you raiding the biscuit tin

Hi Nicnac17, yes I think it will help to give mutual motivation. I have joined a few who are doing a Wednesday weigh in. I haven't done very well today. The hardest is serving up yummy food like homemade lasagne and garlic bread to the family and then trying to control myself. I think making small changes is a good start. Even though the family had fresh scones with jam and clotted cream this evening I did only have a quarter scone. I also did a brisk walk. Even though I would have liked 2 slices of toast for breakfast, I only had one and I just had a half sandwich at lunchtime because I had soup as well. So I am trying to cut back. Hope you manage to get off to a good start!

Hi myrtle123 ooooh home made lasagne sounds yum , I also find eating with the family hard if I cook a cottage pie I make enough for 6 yet there are just 2 adults and 2 children in my household so me and my hubby end up having 2 portions each and he ends up leaving some but I always clear my plate so I've got in to a habit of straight away taking 2 portions out and putting them in to containers and I make sure they get used for lunch the nest day or freeze them for another day ! It is just a case of planning ahead I think ! well done on just having a bit of your scone it's not easy ! But you should have a small treat now and again otherwise you end up unhappy just try to make better choices x

Hi

Get smaller dinner plates and drink lots of water with or before meals

I find this helps.

I definitely recommend 0 refined sugar, low gluten intake and a whole lot of exercise. I'm also big on vitamin B12 injections. Hope that helps : )

Have you tried Pharmanex?

I wasn't disciplined at all this week and hence did not lose any weight. Too much chocolate and treats about the house. I need to be disciplined and not give in to oral gratification at every whim.......calories in...fat on. Calories out...fat off. I know the maths....you cannot cheat and win!!

Oh myrtle123 it's not been easy has it !!!! I to have had some Easter egg chunks they flew in to my mouth before I could close it but once I'd had a bit I was ok and just thought more about sitting on a beach looking slightly better if I didn't sit scoffing chocolate since last week I have lost 3 lbs and that's motivating me to carry on with what I'm doing and I'm actually feeling a lot more full of energy at the moment , if the chocolate is to tempting a good idea is to melt all the eggs down mix with shredded wheat and make birds nest cakes then dish them out to friends and family and save a couple for yourself xx

Hi, it's my first day too, however I not going to start properly till Monday. I'm gathering all the info I need and then doing a big shop on the weekend. Going to plan my meals and do some food prep. Any other tips would be grateful.
