A work colleague has persuaded me to sign up for a charity hike, she thought it would give us something to aim and work towards. We've been walking three nights a week (just for an hour) and doing longer walks on sundays. We walked 10 miles on sunday last, and I was properly exhausted, got home and collapsed on the sofa, sweating and shivering at the same time! Perhaps it would be better if I wasn't carrying all this extra weight!
Zumba is really good if you like dancing and good music, can't recommend that enough, but the instructor has to make it fun and ours certainly does.
What does everyone else do for exercise and motivation?

Think the hardest part is forcing yourself to do it initially, then one you start you gradually realise it make you feel better, thats how I feel when ive been for walk anyway, good luck
I'm a graduate of the Couch to 5K program ... I LOVE to run, but I'm just building my fitness back up after 8 weeks on the injury couch! The post-exercise endorphins make it all worth it 😉
Hi, I think the motivation is the hardest part. I had a good mate that keep cheering me on to go, but I do think it's easier to do some new exercise with someone beside you.
I love Zumba! I spin a few times a week including at 6.45am every Thursday, why? My bottle of wine over the weekend! I also am fortunate enough to be able to walk to work I used to be of the mind set that I needed to be picked up or use the car but now I just walk
Very little at the moment - I'm going to give tennis a go and I walk to the station instead of using the car. Zumba is a little strenuous at the moment for me - I'm frightened of bursting a blood vessel, although I do love dancing. Trying to fit everything in is a challenge for me - busy life !
hi well done on the walking. I do cardio combat and kettlecise and I m signing up for 10k Race For Life in June. I 'm doing well on the exercise side but still can't get the diet going.
