I am a writer looking to do a story about the lack of professional guidance following a PCOS diagnosis. I have the condition and know very well the need to turn to communities of women who have been self-medicating. If anyone is willing to speak to me about their experiences - anonymously is welcome too - it would be a great help! Thank you in advance.

I’m happy to speak to you Emma. What do you need to know?
Hello, that's amazing thank you! The story will be focusing on the need for building our own communities to find guidance, as opposed to adequate medical advice. Would you be open to doing a telephone interview about this? Alternatively, I have a form to collect the responses of everyone interested which I could send over. Let me know what works best for you!
I'm also happy to speak to you. I was diagnosed at the begining of 2024 with no follow up or guidance. All the GP advised me was that I could 'lose a bit of weight' despite my BMI being within the healthy range.
Hello, that would be great thank you! Sorry to hear about your experience, I went through very similar last year. Would you be open to doing a telephone interview about this? Alternatively, I have a form to collect the responses of everyone interested which I could send over. Let me know what works best for you!
I would be happy to help. I was diagnosed with PCOS and put on the contraceptive pill. That was 10 years ago. No follow up or mention of it since.
Happy to contribute. Was diagnosed about 11 years ago.
