Weight gain- what will the Dr say?

Hello all, I have my first appt with the gyno at the end of the month Since my GP diagnosed me with PCOS. I have gained weight as well as get spots and excess hair etc, the usual stuff. I’m worried the gyno will say I need to lose weight before I am allowed to be treated, because I have tried so hard to lose weight and I just seem to stay the same. Does anyone know what they consider as too heavy to be put on medication? Thank you.

treated for what though? Blood pressure has to be considered as well for things like the combined pill, mine has always been excellent so even when I was overweight it was still ok and I am now 50 so having to come off it sadly

We are trying for a baby, but with the PCOS we have been unlucky. I believe the first step is to go on tablets to help my body ovulate etc, I was just wondering if they don’t start that step if you are over weight.

Depends on the nhs area but for fertility treatments it needs to be 30 or below, I have heard some nhs have requested 25 which I have never been under
