Can medical marijuana help me: Hi am Anetha... - Vasculitis UK
Can medical marijuana help me
Hello Anetha,
I am not a doctor, nor an expert on medical marijuana. Your disease is very rare, and it seems you have serious cardiovascular issues; one thing I do know is that it is anti-inflammatory and a good pain killer. It is good for musculoskeletal pain and inflammation. Certain types are good for anxiety, depression, muscle spasm and any condition associated with spasticity, stress, neuropathy, chronic pain, insomnia.
However, medical marijuana is a complex subject. The plant has many different strains and compounds called terpenes. I am assuming medical marijuana is legal where you live. Since its legality in certain states is new, there is not much known yet about if it is helpful to the large vessels. I DO KNOW THAT PEOPLE ON WARFARIN SHOULD NOT USE IT.
What is logical to me is that it is anti-inflammatory as are steroids.
I understand your frustration , all the more so , as you are still very young.
I can only advise that make an appointment at your closest medical marijuana office to discuss your health issues with a physician who certified in prescribing marijuana, and run it by your cardiovascular physicians.
Good luck and best wishes....
You should talk to your consultant who you see for the Vasculitis before trying any alternative therapies as it could be dangerous
