Welcome to the group.

Can you fill us in with some background information about how you have come to be tested for thyroid disease? How is your GP dealing with this or do you see an Endo?

Your results are showing that you have autoimmune thyroid disease and are hyperthyroid.

Hi thanks for responding I really appreciate it. i have an extensive medical history I’ve had many heart surgeries and have routine blood done because of this, this showed up back in April incidental finding, I see an endocrinologist in July and he put me on 5mg of carbimazole I have a follow up soon I’m sure on what sort of question I need to ask, how will I find out what autoimmune disease is causing this?

You mentioned heart issues

Have you possibly been prescribed Amiodarone?

Yes I’ve been on amiodarone a few times but the last time was 2 years ago long before this blood test

You should be having regular blood tests with results like these and being on carbimazole.

Have you had any other antibodies tested other than TPO? I'm thinking of Trab and TSI. Ask Endo to test if they havent already. The results of those tests would tell you which autoimmune disease is causing your problems.

People with thyroid problems get gut issues that cause vitamin malabsoption. Ask your doctor to also test ferritin, folate, B12 & D3. Start a new post when you have new blood results.
