Considering Conception & Ideal Thyroid Levels

Hi all. I finally saw an endocrinologist and they suggested increasing thyroxine dose by 20% when doing an embryo transfer to ensure adequate thyroxine. I asked about FT3 and FT4 levels but they were only interested in TSH which didn’t make sense given it only signals thyroid production and isn’t a thyroid hormone. Because my TSH was in range then all ok apparently.

Does anyone have feedback on my current thyroid levels? TgAB are down from their recorded high of 173.2. I’ve used the calculator provided to summarise below. Will be rechecking iron, B12, Vit D and Folate again next bloods (am supplementing and all good to date).

TSH 0.73 mIU/L (0.4 - 3.5) 10.6%

Free T4 (fT4) 15.4 pmol/L (9.0 - 19.0) 64.0%

Free T3 (fT3) 3.8 pmol/L (2.6 - 6.0) 35.3%

T4:T3 Ratio 4.053 

Thyroglobulin Antbodies (TgAb) 94 IU/mL (≤ 4.1)

Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies (TPO) 1.7 IU/mL (≤ 5.6)

Hi there, TSH be so important trying to conceive have you had an ultrasound in case you have an autonomous simple cyst or nodule producing its own T4?

hi, thanks for your reply. Yes I’ve had an uptake scan (was originally hyperthyroid) and an ultrasound. Both looked “normal”, no nodules or goitre.
