Could I please get some advice on these results. I did not know that the Dr would want to do a blood draw so had taken my Teva Levothyroxine that morning before my appt. However, I was fasting.
B12 - 506 pg/ml (197-771)
Folate 9.3 ng/ml (3.9-26.8)
Ferritin 41.7 ug/L (13.0-150.0)
Iron 21.8 umol/L (5.8-34.5)
Vit D - {25 OH} - 108mmol/L
Thyroid Peroxidase Ab 100 IU/ml (0-25)
Free T4 23.0 pmol/L (11.0-21.0)
TSH 0.28 uIU/ml (0.27-4.20)
The GP called me following results and said that I am now overactive. I take 100mcg and 75mcg on alternate days. These bloods were done when I was on holiday in Ireland last week.
I will go back to my regular GP this week in London and perhaps have the tests done again but will ensure that I have not taken my Teva Levothyroxine until after the blood draw.
Been feeling nervous and very irritable.
Any advice would be appreciated .
Thanking you 🙏

Technically you cannot be overactive - the term would be overmedicated. You might be at too high an ft4 for you but you need to get tests done under the same conditions as you usually do and then compare them with the results you had when you were feeling good. Otherwise it would be just guesswork.
In future never agree to surprise blood test …..just tell them you are taking high doses of biotin and will need to stop this and book test for week later
What vitamin supplements are you taking
Your folate is low , B12 only just ok
Ferritin on low side
Look at increasing iron rich foods in your diet
There’s no Ft3
High TPO confirms Hashimoto’s
Are you on gluten free/dairy free diet
Retest including Ft3
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins
