Monitor My Health Vitamin Test

Hi everyone, had t3,t4 and tsh tested just before Xmas and levels all looking good however due to some lingering symptoms(hand joint/hip pain,mild constipation and chills)i tested my vitamins which are as follows:

Vitamin D - 70 nmol/L (0-180)

Ferritin - 321 ug/L (0-550)

TSAT - 36% (0-105)

B12 - 145 pmol/L (0-210)

Folate - 5.8 iu/L (0-25)

Any thoughts/advice on the above would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Please add ranges for the tests as they vary from lab to lab. You can edit the post.

Can you add an image of your actual results with reference ranges. The reason being that no range has a lower limit of zero, eg Ferritin usually has a range of around 30-400 for males, Active B12 range is something like 37.5-188 .

Any reference range which starts at zero suggests that people can be healthy without the substance being tested. But people can't live with zero vitamin D, or zero transferrin saturation, or zero B12 etc...

Sorry guys, doesn't seem to be any reference ranges with the Monitor My Health Test, just gives results in graph form.It is showing everything in normal range.My latest thyroid levels also looked good so I'm thinking I may just need a prolonged period on the same brand/dosage of my Levo as my brand had changed a few times recently due to sourcing issues.

MonitorMyHealth does have reference ranges, quite clearly.

The graph has coloured bars - pink is outside range, green is the normal range and you can see the numbers.

Below the graph is WHAT DOES THIS RESULT MEAN and it gives the result and below that the normal range.

Log into your account and go to MY ACCOUNT.

Go to MY TESTS and click where it says VIEW TEST HISTORY (see screenshot) - this shows you all results plotted on graph then box underneath shows newest result. Next post shows result/range.

Your folate is pretty low. Others not too bad although vit d Could be a bit higher.

Buy some Thorne Basic B complex to keep all your B vits up along with the folate.

Thanks for reply Jaydee.Is it possible that low levels of folate/vitamin d can cause symptoms such as muscle/joint pain and chills as my most recent t3,t4 and tsh levels all looked pretty good.

Yes that's possible. Not only will you be suffering the effects of the low vitamin levels but also your thyroid hormone won't work properly.

It can take quite a few months once on the right dose AND OPTIMAL vitamin levels to feel well.
