Your ft3 is very low in range. Only 24.32% !!!

Ft4 over range and Tsh below range.

You are not converting well at all

Yeah thanks rose but I’ve tested my RT3 before and shaws kindly sent me a link and it states no point testing RT3 ?

I’ve emailed them to see if they will re do the test ? I know at our lab they wouldn’t have tested that sample .. I thought 4 was ok for T3 it’s over half the range 🤷‍♀️

4 is not over half the range a Lynn.

I know you believe that Rt3 isn’t an issue even though yours was high that’s why I didn’t mention it in my answer to you

When I read the link shaws sent last time it explained about RT3 and no point in testing with normal thyroid bloods .. Not going to test it again ..

I don’t think you need to test again either.

I’ve only ever tested mine once

Not, it's not over half way through range. Half way is 4.95

Your result of 4 is 24.32% through range.

FT3 is nowhere near half way through range. Range starts at 3.1 and ends at 6.8, so the actual range contains 3.7 "numbers" (6.8 minus 3.1). Half of 3.7 is 1.85. So add 1.85 to the bottom number of the range (3.1) to find where half way up range is: 3.1+1.85 = 4.95 = 50% of range.

But much easier to use the calculator at chorobytarczycy.eu/kalkulator

Little point testing reverse T3 it’s an expensive test and doesn’t tell you much

More important to regularly retest vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12

What vitamin supplements are you currently taking

When were vitamin levels last tested

Always send test kit back via 24 hour tracked postal service

Hi thank you for your reply .. I wouln’t waste my money on a RT3 test again

My vitamin D is 107 it was at only 67 in May but changed to organic spray and it increased ,

My B12 is way off the scale at 1,197

My Ferritin is really high at 260

Don’t have a folate test result

It makes sense about the propranolol as I’ve increased my dose from 10mg twice daily to 20 twice daily

So maybe this is the reason for it ?

I feel ok a bit tired but I work front linear the hospital as a phlebotomist and we are really busy at the moment .. I don’t really want to add T3

I have blood tests to have done from my GP including thyroid which I will do next week

Thank you xxx

Suggest you reread all our conversation

Propranolol may be cause of low Ft3

Your T4 ot T3 conversion is very poor which is why you need over range FT4 to make even a small amount of T3. Your FT3 should be over 5. In an ideal world, you'd get some t3 added to your levo. If you reduce your levo (as you have done) you may find that your T3 drops even more. You need to make sure that vitamins and minerals are optimal.

Thank you I think slow dragon may off hit the nail on the head as I’ve increased propranolol xx
