How can I buy T3

After 29yrs of a thyroid condition I think it is time for me to try T3. Can you PM me with info on how I can buy T3 and maybe if it's available abroad. Self medicate has got to be better than listening to the BS dribble that comes out of these idiot doctors mouths.. if I hear you are over medicated one more time even with a low TSH low t4 and low T3. Thank you all in advance.

Adding T3 is not the way to go at the moment.

Looking at your previous post and the results you posted at the time, as was pointed out then your FT4 is only 34% through range and your FT3 is 35% through range, nicely balanced but far too low. If anything you may benefit from an increase in your Levo. If your FT4 was high in range with a low FT3 then this would show poor conversion and adding T3 would be the right way to go, but not with your current results. You need to get your FT4 into the upper part of the range by adding some more Levo then see where your FT3 lies. You can self source Levo as easily as self sourcing T3.

Email Thyroid U.K. for list of thyroid specialist endocrinologists and doctors who will prescribe T3 if clinically appropriate

Looking at your profile…..were you previously diagnosed with Graves’ disease and had RAI ?

After being hyperthyroid TSH is often very unreliable

How long since RAI

Approx how old are you

Pre or post menopause

And approx weight in kilo

GP should not dose by TSH

But look at Ft4 and Ft3 …..aiming for both Ft4 and Ft3 at least 60% through range

But you may need to go over GP head and see thyroid, adrenal and pituitary specialist endocrinologist

Thank you slowdragon. RAI in 2005 because they wanted me off Carbinazol. Gestational over active thyroid in 1993 graves. Big mistake having the rai underactive since. I'm 63 gained over two stone about 10 st 10 lbs. Same brand levo 100 McG . Post menopause but have terrible sweats. Have fatigue hair loss very dry skin etc the usual. Need to check this new result as I'm suspicious of the pituitary gland as low TSH and t4 the t4 has been falling every test and all the GP can say is reduce meds

You need to get folate test…..but if taking good quality daily vitamin B complex, it’s unlikely low

Remember to stop taking vitamin B complex 5-7 days before test
