Hi Everyone
I got my full panel tyroid test results back... info below. Everything normal except ferritin which is high and was high before the op (could it be a root cause for why I had a goitre in the first place?).
Since the op (which removed what remained of my thyroid), I started with really bad reflux, heart burn and indigestion. I'd never had them before. Told to take gaviscon but I want to get to root cause. Anyone else experienced this? I'm trying to work out what's thyroid and what's something else.
I've also started experiencing really dry scaly hands and my lower legs are particularly dry. I've read some people found they needed to give up caffeine and sugar for the meds to work smoothly - have others found this?
Here are the results from Medichecks
TSH 0.44 (0.27-4.2)
T4 free 19.3 (12-22)
T3 free 5.1 (3.1-6.8)
thyroglobulin antibodies <10 (0-115)
thyroid peroxidase antibodies <9 (<34)
folate 12.4 (2.9-14.5)
vitamin B12 active 132 (25-165)
vitamin d 84 (50-200)
CRP inflammation 2.5 (0-5)
ferritin 168 (13-150)
Any advice gratefully appreciated thankyou x
