I have Hashimoto’s and would like to know if I can take any type of K2, or does it have to be soy free? TIA.

Vitamin K2
I've been taking k2 soy free because of my hypothyroidism. Even though k2 is normally sourced from natto which is fermented I wouldn't advise you to take soy with a thyroid condition. It may not change your levels per se but its known to interfere with absorption and conversion. Soy free is the safe way to go. I'm currently using Canprev d3&k2
Thank you for your response. What would I need to look for on the label to ensure that no soy has been used? I was looking at a product called Nu U, but I am not sure if they have soy in them.
Hey
I had a look at the nu u and it doesn't state anywhere that its soy free. Personally, I'd stay clear from it. From scrolling through the forum I've seen a k2 that has been recommended you could give that a go or the one I mentioned that I use. Below gives you an example of what the label should look like. It should have soy free either in the front or back of the label. Mine has it on the back. Just as a reminder take it 4 hrs away from your thyroid meds, so it doesn't interfere. I'd say lunch time is ideal because there will be some fat in your food which will aid in the absorption.
I use better you vitamins spray with vitamin D + k2
I may be wrong but I thought that soy is ok if fermented.
