My hypo symptoms have returned and at 4am I’ve just had a lightbulb moment. The only change I have made is that I have started to take K2 along with my usual supplements of vitamin C and zinc, D3, ferritin, B12 and selenium. I’ve been well for months since starting T3 along with a slightly reduced dose of levo. No bloods of late due to being unable to speak to the docs. Symptoms that have returned are heart palpitations, eczema, low energy, brain fog, headaches. Just wondering if anyone has had the same with adding K2. Obviously I’ve now put two and two together and will stop and see what transpires. Thanks all.

Vitamin K2 and hypothyroidism
If you are taking vit D, it's not a good idea to stop the vit K2. Taking vit D increases your absorption of calcium from food and the K2 insures that this calcium goes into the bones and the teeth, and doesn't build up in soft tissues and arteries causing problems like kidnesy stones and heart attacks. I cannot imagine that it would cause your hypo symptoms to return. I take it myself and have no such problems.
How much T3 are you taking? And how long have you been on that dose? Sounds to me like you probably need an increase in dose.
Do you take all those supplements at the same time? How close you your thyroid hormones do you take them? You should also be taking magnesium with Vit D, because they work together.
Thanks greygoose. I take 75mcg levo in the morning along with one quarter tab of Tybon Henning 20, one hour before coffee etc. I take a second dose of T3 quarter tab between noon and 1pm and another between 6pm and 7pm. With evening meal I take all the vitamins and supplements. Bedtime I have a magnesium spray. Been on T3 for a few months and felt fine, great even. The only change I can think of is about one month ago started taking K2. I am getting palpitations and having issues with sleep of late which I never normally have. I got palpitations prior to diagnosis years back so associate it with hypothyroidism.
Yes, palpitations are associated with hypo, that's why I think you need an increase in dose. You're only on a tiny dose of T4/T3, wouldn't be at all surprising if you needed more. What were your blood test results last time you had them done?
Vitamin K1 10 mg daily and vitamin K2 45 mg daily have been safely used for up to 2 years. Most people do not experience any side effects when taking vitamin K in the recommended amount each day. But some people may have an upset stomach or diarrhea.

Nothing about palpitations.
Thanks again. Didn’t realise I am on such a small dose of 15mcg T3 and 75mcg T4. Last blood test was may this year:
26/05/2021
Serum free T3 - 5.0 (3.1-6.8)
Serum folate - 20.0 ug/L (>3.9)
Serum B12 - 804ng/L (197-771)
Serum TSH - 0.04 mU/L (0.27-4.20)
Serum free T4 - 14 pmol/L (11-22)
Serum ferritin 57 ug/L (30-150)
Well, your FT3 is only 51.35% through the range, which isn't very high for someone on T3. And most hypos need it higher than that. So, if I were you, I'd increase to at least 10 mcg a day, and see if things improve.
Thanks greygoose. I thought I was already taking 15mcg a day - splitting a Thybon Henning 20 tablet into 4 and taking x1 quarter 3 times a day?
