Magnesium query

I’m due to buy some more magnesium. I just wondered if anyone has used an ocean source such as Together Marine Magnesium? I’m all for natural, so would prefer this product if it’s suitable.

If not, does anyone have a recommendation for a decent magnesium citrate please, which is the form I usually buy?

Many thanks in advance. SeasideSusie

I've only ever used magnesium citrate. I can highly recommend Natural Calm Original Magnesium Citrate powder, it's unflavoured and nothing is added. You can tailor the dose to your needs - start with a small amount and build up to the dose you require. Too much will cause too loose stools so take it back a step if that happens.

Put powder in a glass, add a small amount of warm water and let it fizz, I add orange juice to make a nicely flavoured little drink.

It's not cheap but it lasts a long time.

This is the buyer I usually use as it's usually the cheapest, I buy two at a time as he discounts for multi buys, he's also added "make an offer" in his latest listing..

That’s great, thank you for the detailed advice and recommendation. I have bought the powdered magnesium citrate before, although wasn’t sure it was doing my teeth any good?! Do you feel it’s safe on your teeth? If so I’ll definitely give it another try. Many thanks again.

If you're worried, drink it through a straw :)

SeasideSusieYour supplier is out of stock. I’ve found an alternative seller. I wonder if you could tell me how many spoons of powder you recommend per day please?

Do you think the flavoured one is ok too please? Says it contains organic orange flavouring and organic stevia. I’m getting some for my elderly mother too, and just trying to make it easier for her.

Many thanks for your advice.

You start off low and gradually build up to the dose necessary, so maybe start with half a teaspoonful for a few days and gradually build it up over time. If stools become too lose then drop it back. I use kitchen scales and weigh mine so I know exactly the dose to take.

I don't use any of the flavoured ones, I avoid all excipients where possible, it's just something else that might possibly cause a problem. The original, unflavoured is fine, I dissolve in a small amount of warm water, let it fizz then add some orange juice.

I buy all my family’s vitamins from Biocare. Quick delivery and often send a discount code if I haven’t purchased for a bit. They have a Black Friday sale ( think 25% off) from 23rd!
