Folate (>3.89)- Not tested, Not tested , 6.34, 6.38
I notice that my FT4 has risen, but the TSH has stayed the same. Also, my FT3 doesn't seem to change much.
Also, my Ferritin won't increase - I've tried Spatone and have been using an oral spray from Better You. A few years ago it was 58 (r 15-300) so it can be higher. Last FBC looked ok with regards to anemia. Not a fan of red meat.
No diagnosis or medication. Stopped supplements week before tests.
Any thoughts welcomed? I'm trying to summon up some assertiveness ahead of the apt, particularly in relation to the ultrasound and making sure they really look for any signs of Hashi's.
Thanks

The fact that you have goitre, low vitamins and symptoms suggests you could/should be given trial of levothyroxine
This might reduce size of goitre
Important to work on improving low ferritin needs to be up around 70
Eating iron rich foods like liver or liver pate once a week plus other red meat, pumpkin seeds and dark chocolate, plus daily orange juice or other vitamin C rich drink can help improve iron absorption
This is interesting because I have noticed that many patients with Hashimoto’s disease and hypothyroidism, start to feel worse when their ferritin drops below 80 and usually there is hair loss when it drops below 50.
