I suggest you put what you posted in your first post all together here to avoid people having to jump around posts. It’s not clear from your posts here what is that you’re after.
I went to the other post you shared few days back. Even though your results are by large fine there is still some room to increase FT3 and FT4. Do you self medicate or follow doctor’s prescriptions? Not alternating the Levo and doing 75 every day might do the trick and bring you closer to the top of the range.
I’m on NDT but my T3 is sitting literally on the top of the range - any lower and I don’t feel well. But we are all different and 80% through the range works for some.
Now , am unable to understand why i am getting symptoms of both a low TSH reading and a high TSH reading both at the same time , i.e : fatigue , dry skin , dry brittle hair that breaks off , brain fog , constipation , insomnia , and intolerance to both heat and cold , but would say mainly heat .
The TSH does not cause symptoms. It's T3 that causes symptoms when it's too high or too low. Your FT3 is only just over mid-range, so that's probably too low for you. And, that is backed up by your symptoms. Those are hypo symptoms - i.e. low T3.
It is possible to have both hypo and hyper-type symptoms at the same time, though. The thyroid hormone you are taking exogenously is not evenly distributed between the cells. At the point at which you are, some cells will be getting too much, and other not enough - or none at all. But, when your levels increase to optimal, that will even itself out. So, nothing to worry about, just a slight under-medication.
Thanks for that greygoose , sorry for taking while to get back to you , was TRYING to get some sleep, but without much success, i feel so yukky, am going to try and rewrite post to make it more comprehend able, but taking on board what you are saying so far , am I right in saying that you are suggesting that I increase the T3 dose from 10mcg to 15mcg ?? Thanks once again greygoose ☺
Sweetpea if you are symptomatic still you have room to increase levo or lio. You need to think about which one you would increase as you only Inc one thing at a time, wait 8 weeks and then bloods.
I need my Ft3 and ft4 balanced with both about 70% through their ranges but we are all different. You need to trust your instinct.
Hi Lalatoot, thankyou for getting back to me , am going to rewrite post to make it more comprehend able, have taken on board what you have said so far and am contemplating increasing the T3 dose from 10mcg to 15mcg . Thanks once again ☺
