Hoping for some help and advice on recent blood results. Previously I was on 125mg of thyroxine and 30mg of T3.

'FT3- 7.3pmol/L (3.0-6.8)High'

Looks like you need to reduce dose as your FT3 is a little too high.

What has the doctor said about ferritin and have you had a full iron panel done?

If you are struggling to absorb vitamins, do you need to improve gut health? Have you ruled out other factors that can cause poor absorption?

I was trying to ‘up’ my T4 by the increase,

And yes I’ve had the full iron panel done

I’d a post up 6 months ago,

My doc happy to ignore any results that are within range and also ignore my symptoms.

At one point he tested my blood for coeliac but came back negative. What other gut advice can you add? Maybe low acid?

You don’t say how you feel. This is key because blood tests are only a guide to treatment, levels of hormone in the blood fluctuate during a 24hour period.

It hit me just now, I hadn’t said how I feel, which is far through exhausted

And 6/7 months ago developed bicep weakness and pain, for which the physio suggested I go back to the doctor

And he in turn referred me to rheumatologist-

I’m on a 36 month/ 3 yr waiting list

Have you noticed any improvement increasing Ft4?

Looks like you might need to reduce T3 dose a fraction ....perhaps by 5mcg

Retesting in 6-8 weeks

However you ferritin is very poor

Folate not brilliant.

No B12 result ?

You might be better off taking a daily good quality vitamin B complex, one with folate in .....not folic acid. Rather than just folate

Eg Igennus Super B

But remember to stop taking any vitamin supplements that contain biotin a week before any blood tests, as biotin can falsely affect test results

As you had Graves’ disease are you on strictly gluten free diet,...or tried it ?

If vitamin D is low, B vitamins may be too. As explained by Dr Gominack

Really recommend trying strictly gluten free diet

This helps or is essential for thousands of Graves and hashimoto's patients

You need full iron panel test for anaemia ...low ferritin doesn't always have low iron ..but if it does you need iron supplements

What's your diet like?

Vegetarian or vegan?

The increase you had from 125 to 150 Levo - any difference at all? Do you think you might have passed your sweet spot at some point? Is it correct that you went from Levo 150 mcg years ago to Levo 125 and straight into 10 mcg of t3 x twice a day? I just got terrible tiredness and know that it's from too much t3, I need to back down to 17.5 mcg.

Yes it was an overnight dosage change

Thank you

It’s difficult to get everything balanced

How are you now Suin?

I changed to 150 thyroxine and 20 T3 so I must see if I’m able to have bloods done this week

I’ve went on gluten free whole food diet about one month and still don’t feel any better. I started the super B tablets SlowDragon had advised,

with vit D and vit K

also Selenium
